‘Intruder’ was registered in 1978. Originally owned by Wrekin Roadways, in 1983 this ballasted tractor became the first truck acquired by Abnormal Load Engineering (ALE) founder ‘Roger Harries’. ALE is a specialist heavy haulage contractor that specialises in the moving of tansformers and generator components for power stations. ‘Intruder’ performed its last job in 2002, after working worldwide for almost 20 years. In 2017, ALE completed a total 'full working order' refurbishment of the vehicle to its original specifications.
‘Intruder’ has a gross weight potential of 240 tons. That means that it is capable of hauling the equivalent weight of 10 Popemobiles !
